HIGHLAND WILDLIFE HOLIDAYS Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and participation in our wildlife holiday packages.

1.2. By booking a wildlife holiday package with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total package cost is required at the time of booking.

2.2. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days before the departure date.

2.3. If booking is made within 60 days of departure, 50% of the total package cost is required at the time of booking.

2.4. If the booking is made within 30 days of departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

2.5. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking without a refund.

3. Cancellation by the Client

3.1. If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing.

3.2. Cancellation fees apply as follows: - 30-60 days before departure: 50% of the total cost.  Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total cost.

3.3. Travel insurance to cover cancellations is Mandatory.

4. Cancellation or Alteration by Us

4.1. We reserve the right to cancel the holiday package if necessary due to force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances.

4.2. In case of cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund of any moneys paid (less deposit) or be offered an alternative package of comparable value.

4.3. We reserve the right to make minor alterations to the itinerary without prior notice. Significant changes will be communicated promptly.

5. Health and Safety

5.1. Participants must be in good health and capable of undertaking the physical activities involved in the wildlife holiday.

5.2. It is your responsibility to obtain appropriate medical advice regarding vaccinations and health precautions for the destinations visited. 

5.3. You must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking.

6. Travel Insurance 

6.1. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal liability, cancellation, and loss of luggage is mandatory for all participants. 
6.2. Proof of travel insurance must be provided before the arrival date. 

7. Responsibilities and Conduct 

7.1. You are responsible for ensuring that you have valid passports, visas, and any other necessary travel documents. 
7.2. You agree to comply with the local laws and regulations of the destinations visited. 
7.3. You must follow the instructions of our tour guides and respect the wildlife and environment during the holiday. 
7.4. We reserve the right to remove any participant from the tour if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.

8. Liability 

8.1. We shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party providers or events outside our control. 
8.2. Our liability is limited to the package price paid.

9. Complaints 

9.1. If you have any complaints during your holiday, please inform the tour guide immediately to allow us to address the issue promptly. 
9.2. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, please submit a written complaint within 28 days of the end of the holiday.

10. Governing Law 

10.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. 
10.2. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions 

11.1. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing.
